My first thousand hours as a trader went where most people's go: YouTube. Strategies, setups, secret indicators, gurus. A thousand hours of it didn't make me profitable. It taught me one thing — nobody on screen could explain why any of it should work.

So I threw it all out and went back to what a chart actually is: price, volume, and time. I don't use indicators to make trading decisions — no oscillator or crossover tells me what to do. My decisions come from rules written on raw price action, encoded and backtested across years and asset classes before a dollar is at risk.

So why build indicators at all? Because an honest indicator is a measuring instrument, not a signal lamp. It compresses what price and volume are already doing so you can read it faster — that is all an indicator can do, and we say so.
